ABOUT MOUNT ALBERT

Mount Albert was originally known as Birchardville in the early 19th century, until it was changed to Mount Albert in 1860. Since its establishment, Mount Albert has been known for its agricultural industries–namely grist, flour, wool, and lumber–thanks to the riches of Mount Albert Creek. The main north-south road in the village is Centre Street, home to stores and other business establishments.
