Real Estate Market Update with Rachel Kavanagh – Rachel Kavanagh from RE/MAX All-Stars Benczik Team Realty provides an update based on the most recent market watch from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. Subscribe for monthly updates.

Based on recent trends it’s evident that sales continue to grow this season.

Markham – sales are down 9%, but prices are up 5%. This is also a result of low inventory, further falling 2.1% – this means if homes arent listed in the next few months, we will run out of homes to sale! Our team works very hard to help list these homes to prevent that from happening.

For Stouffville sales are up 2% followed by prices up 10%, and up 40% year over year. The inventory is up to 2.1% so low inventory is there as well, further driving these prices up as well.

The condo market was strong for 2021, with prices being up 4.1% in the 416. and 11.7% in the 905, year over year. The number of sales is also up for both regions now as well. Condo sales in the 416 did decline in 2020 due to pandemics, but they are now coming back strong!
